Personally,
I don't mind doing laundry. To me, it is relaxing and I truly get into deep thoughts as I am putting dirty laundry into the washer.
The only thing I can't stand is the fact that we live in a two story house, so I have to carry thing up and down the stairs.
Some tips I have learned over the 1 1/2 that we have lived in this house, may also benefit you.
So I thought I would share them.
1. I don’t have a specific laundry day.
It has never worked for me, and I also find that it takes more energy, both physically and electrically.
2. When your upstairs at some point during the day look around at each rooms laundry bin

3. Get out each laundry net from every room.
Grab out all the nets from each basket with dirty clothes |
4. Throw all the dirty laundry clothes in their nets from upstairs to downstairs.
Some people carry them, but they are to heavy for me. Just make sure there are no kids around when your doing so =)
Throw laundry downstairs |
5. Bring all the nets to the laundry room and place each clothes in asigned laundry basket downstairs.
For examples: The Big laundry basket is for Mommy's and Daddy's clothes, and the little laundry basket is for both Ayden and Carter’s clothes.

6. Place all the nets into your “Catchall” basket.
( This is a term I have made up, which means, it is all the items that either need to go upstairs or that need to go downstairs, depending on where the basket is.)

7. Wash your laundry like you normally do.
I personally have to do at least one load of laundry a day to keep up with it, otherwise I get super behind.
8. Once ready to pull out laundry from the dryer, start folding and put them on their hangers right away.

9. Place folded basket on the stairs and the next time someone goes upstairs, they bring the basket into the designated room and put them away. Simple right?
Place Basket on Stairs |
This is something that has worked for me.
I have noticed that if I put all the clean clothes in a basket unfolded, then they are pretty much just going to sit in the basket all week. Then it becomes very confusing and unorganized.
Normally if I keep up with this everyday, I never get behind in laundry and have a happy family.

Once my boys get bigger, I want to have specific baskets for each member of the family. And once their laundry is done it will be apart of their choir to go and check their basket everyday and take their own basket upstairs, put them away, and bring the basket back downstairs.
If you have any questions or advice, just let me know. ;)
Happy organizing
Have a great week,
Brianna
